Greeting Cards for Christmas Tree Decorating

Re-use greeting cards from past Christmases to decorate your Christmas tree this. There are a number of ways you can beautifully use old Xmas cards for decor. Here are some creative ideas:

1. Just like you would make boxes out of card paper, make different shaped boxes out of old greeting cards to make ornaments.

2. Cut out shapes from old Christmas cards and punch holes in them to string ribbon for hanging.

3. Paste Christmassy cutouts on both sides of old CDs to make tree ornaments.

4. Some smaller Christmas cards can be used as they are by punching a hole in them and hanging with ribbons.

5. Some Christmas cards comes in Christmassy shapes - like bells, Santa faces etc. Stuff them with fibre or fabric scraps and sew the sides to make puffed ornaments.

6. Give old cards more life by adding sequins, glitter and adding more details like enhancing Santa's beard using cotton balls etc. and then using them as ornaments.
